This course offers an in-depth exploration of the topic of מצוות עשה שהזמן גרמא (positive time-bound מצוות) from both a halachic and mystical perspective. You will get a chance to look at the original sources for women's exemption from these מצוות, analyze how הלכה defines them, and understand the issues at play when women perform these מצוות voluntarily. Once we have a foundational understanding of the halachic concepts, we will look at how חסידות sheds light on women’s underlying spiritual relationship with time.
